Calathea's are some of the most stunning indoor plants. Given their many different leaf patterns, they're a popular choice amongst intermediate plant parents.

Light - needs medium indirect sun.

Water - keep soil moist, but not soggy. Top water only since they're prone to sensitivity sitting in too much water. They can also be sensitive to unfiltered water.

Humidity - try to mimic tropical climates with high humidity. These guys are Nyctinastic.

Soil - Use a peat based houseplant soil with plenty of drainage like perlite or coco coir mulch.

Pet safe, but keep out of reach because they're sensitive to leaf damage.
